From the real jungle to the urban variety. We have been living the city life today.

We have:

- inspected the red shirts barricades

- been to a gigantic shopping center

- been to the cinema 

- taken the futuristic sky train over Bangkok

- and…. We were 20 METERS away from the famous, almost godlike, multitasking wizard King Buhmibol and his motorcade. The guy is everywhere and we think we have caught a bit caught of the Buhmibol fever as well. (warning: reading further you may too)

Here is a list of some of his many incarnations:

  • Jazz king – He played saxophone on a album or two with some jazz greats. 
  • Student king – He was also a student, just like us! Wow!
  • Monk king – He was a monk for a short period. Although he still kept his fashionable sunglasses on, so maybe rockstar monk king is more accurate
  • Cinema and other official events king: Before the film began today everyone had to stand up and watch a rather long slide show of his multi-dimentional personality.
  • Family king – There are loads of pictures of him with his family and his very long-term wife. No harem for this king. No sir Buhmi. 
  • Dog king – he has a dog and wrote a bestselling book about it. 
  • Science wizard king – He can make it rain with his science know how (probably the natural progression of student king)
  • Photo lord king – The man also takes photos; of random poor people he drives by in one of his seven red BMWs with obligatory police escort.
