Beijing
So we escaped Bangkok the morning before things really started heated up there to the land where facebook, youtube, many pages on wikipedia and this blog website are like pigs in a synagogue. The chinese internet, he say no.
Except for the slightly limited internet access Beijing was a real hit with us. An amazing art district with some rather funky shops, huge amounts of food on every street corner and loads of small side streets to explore. After 5 day we concluded that we far from “did” Beijing. The place is immense and very exiting.
We even celebrated 17th May there– on the 15th. Except being 2 days early it was the real deal with pølse i lompe, ice-cream, speeches and a little procession around the norwegian ambassador`s garden complete with brass band. A perfect national day!
